Gatunek bardzo rzadko spotykany o niedostatecznie poznanym rozsiedleniu, dotychczas wykazywany tylko z Sudetów Zachodnich, i ogólnikowo z Tatr. Wymagania ekologiczne nie znane, okaz typowy znaleziony był razem z Eudectus giraudi Redt. pod pleśniejącą korą na starym jaworze.
